Teatro Romano – L’anima buona di Sezuan

In the capital of the Chinese province of Sezuan three gods arrive in search of some good soul and they find only one, the prostitute Shen Te, who hosts them for the night. The unexpected compensation for this act of goodness is a round sum, a thousand silver dollars, or, for Shen Te, the possibility of living well. But the compensation is accompanied by the commandment to continue to practice goodness.
